Of course, the other Team members contributed, but guess who did the most work? Yours truly.

THE HISTORY OF THE SHADOW ELITE

After seeing what Dr. Oswald was experimenting with, Brandon and his twin brother, Keyton, decided to try it out themselves. At first, the two did well together, but they had differing ideas about who they wanted on the Team and how to train them. This resulted in Keyton forming his own team two years before Brandon did.
Keyton wasn't extremely careful in choosing who he wanted, resulting in a lot of fighting amongst the Team members for two years before they finally got their act together. Brandon, on the other hand, spent those two years carefully researching and choosing possible candidates. By the end of those two years, he had a group of teens who not only had the basic skills necessary but worked well together.
Because Keyton's team was composed mainly of orphans, he was able to train them faster, and thus they got missions faster. Brandon, however, took his time. The year of their first official mission (found in The Motto Trilogy Book Two: United We Stand) was 2151.
The Shadow Elite actually didn't have a name until Khloe, a member of the Warrior Elite, named them. As she put it, "If we got stuck with a cheesy name, so should you!"
Alien Races
Just about everyone thought that alien life was something that existed solely in books, movies, and people’s imaginations. They were wrong. Aliens did exist. That was the first shock of the twenty-first century. The second shock was the fact that the aliens hadn’t come about by evolution. (The third was that global warming was a scam.)
Almost every single race of aliens vanished from the earth before the 1800s, or shortly thereafter. Mankind knew nothing of them until the age of space exploration. And while most of the supposed alien sightings were scams…some of them were not.
Spartans
The Spartans are a peculiar people. Crash-landing on Earth because of an inter-species war between the Gar and the Sera, the Spartans have no memory of their homeworld, since the onboard ship computers erased their memories for their “safety.” All they could remember was that they were Spartans.
The Spartans are an extremely telepathic people who look just like humans because that’s basically what they are—genetically enhanced, bio-engineered people. They have the unusual ability to morph any creature they please. Not only that, they have the abilities of telepathy and any other imaginable telepathic ability. Sensor fields, force fields, telepathic hacking, levitation, holograms, mental distortion, disintegration, memory wipes…
A fierce warrior race, when they crash-landed on Earth, they took apart the ship and set up a rough base in a remote area of the Rockies. The Spartan children were hidden among the humans and the plan was to regather them when they were older and ready to learn who they were and what they could do. Unfortunately, that didn’t go as planned.
A faction of rebel Gar with a few Sera and Spartans mixed in kidnapped them all. Their plan was to upload them to a computer network and remotely control them. They would then force the Spartan Elders to pay a ransom. Once the Spartan Elders took the children back into their base, the Gar could then use them as spies and sell their plans to the Gar HIVE. Thankfully, the Shadow Elite, the Darkness, and Eva and Connor, two Spartan commanders, were able to get the children back and shut down the Network.
Gar
The Gar are a hateful, greedy species, who seem to have endless supplies of money, soldiers, and resources. Also very telepathic, the Gar have the nasty habit of stealing people’s bodies. Literally. They invade your head and take you over. Originally used simply as a means of finding information, it developed into something much more—a way to conquer all the other races in the universe.
While it hasn’t quite happened, the Gar may accomplish it someday. And while they can be very subtle about controlling you, they tend to opt for the fear aspect. A Gar may be in your head and you not know it. What may seem as a thought or idea of your own may actually be the Gar planting the thought in your head.
The Gar could have taken Earth a long while ago, but thankfully, the Sera and the Spartans (a.k.a Cheellas) were there to stop them. But they didn’t reproduce as fast the Gar, who multiplied rapidly and took over an old mansion as their base. Much safer than the Spartans’, the Gar added on thousands of yards of tunnels underneath of it. They used their ships to reinforce the tunnels and took all of the ships’ computers and created basically what can be thought of as one of the strongest, most secure fortresses ever. There was nothing anyone could do to stop them. They’d caught most of the Sera and had tortured them for quite a while. One very important Sera, Sera Kernava, was their prisoner for many, many years. However, she escaped in the body of Jenny. She prevented the Gar from taking out the Shadow Elite before they grew powerful enough to stamp the Gar out forever.
The Gar’s motto is this: take it out before it takes you out. That’s why they had been monitoring the Shadow Elite, and had decided to use Jenny as bait to draw them all in. If it hadn’t have been for Sera Kernava, who knows how it would have ended.
What even the Gar don’t know is that far below their lair is something far more powerful than they could ever hope for or think up—the Ice Crystal. Thankfully, they haven’t discovered it yet.
The most sickening thing about the Gar is the fact that they deal in human slavery. The way they get their forces? You guess it—human slavery. Evil to the core, the Gar will stop at nothing to become the most powerful race ever. For your sake—and all of mankind’s sake—we hope this never happens.
Sera
A peaceful, advanced race, the Sera formed an alliance with the Gar. The two races worked together on what they called Project Transition. What they discovered changed their entire races forever. Because that project was testing the theory of changing bodies. The principle, known as the Transition Theory, states that one can change bodies by leaving the only body and implanting his mind in another individuals. There’s a lot of other techy stuff that you wouldn’t understand, but basically, they realized they could change bodies and take over people’s minds.
The Sera technicians burned the research papers, but it was too later. Soon every Sera and Gar knew about it.
The Gar broke the treaty, and the two nations went to war. At that time, the Gar were also currently fighting the Cheella. In the Battle of Jaxvon, the Sera were caught in the crossfire, and all three races’ fleets plummeted towards earth and crash-landed.
The story does not end there—the Gar hunted down the Sera and killed many of them, and tortured others. Since the Sera body is capable of many things, they tried invading them, but the Sera were smart. They resisted them with every shred of their mind, and every time the Gar tried to invade their mind, they were killing them, until eventually they were dead…leaving the Gar with nothing.
There are currently less than six hundred Sera—if that—left. A very old, proud race, the Sera’s main regret is that they hadn’t gone to war sooner. The Sera had the capability to wipe the Gar out long ago, but they were apathetic about the whole deal. The Gar got strong, and then it was too later.
The Sera’s original body is what can best be described as white squid. At birth, the Sera has four tentacles. With each year, they grow a new one. And since Sera can live for, at the least, one hundred years, some have a whole lot of very long tentacles. Of course, some Sera do not stay in their original bodies, and take over some other person’s or animal’s body. While the Sera seldom take bodies without permission, some still do. As a known fact, no race is ever “all good.”
IMPORTANT WARS AND BATTLES
The Spartan War
This was the war that lasted fifty years between the Cheella and the Gar. It is known as the Spartan War because the Cheella who fought in this war were mainly Spartan. There is no clear winner to this war—both lost almost half of their populations, and almost half of their fleets. Several planets were exploded, and plaques were released everywhere.
The war was started by the Gar, who wanted to conquer the Cheella. Unfortunately for the Gar, a spy high-up had warned the Cheella government, and they were ready. Also, the Gar had underestimated them. The Cheella forces were well trained, and they fought well together. The Gar were very divided and often were fighting each other more than the enemy. But even with this, the Gar fought very hard.
There was no certain end to this war—when twenty-thousand ships went disappearing without a trace from both sides, the fighting gradually ceased unto the Cheella forces returned home and the Sera decimated the Gar forces that remained in no-man’s land.
The War of Peace
Rather misnamed, this war was very bloody. While not as bloody as the Spartan War, many Sera and Gar were killed. Lasting for a century, this war came about when the Gar started slavery back up and started invading people’s minds. The Sera, who had tried to destroy the research, decided to stop the Gar. Both powerful races dwindled each other’s forces. The Gar had more troops and fleets, but the Sera were more powerful, even though few. The Gar and Sera both suffered great causalities at the battle of Jaxvon, but the Sera were the obvious winners of the War of Peace, wiping out Gar in the Xast Galaxy.
The Cheellan Revolution
This war was fought between the various political groups of the Cheella. Fought on the Cheellan home world, Chee, this war was relatively short, but none the less devastating.
The Cheella split into five groups—the United Federation of Peace, the Blood Corps, the Shadow Slayers, the Cheella Elite, and the High Commanders. Those who did not join these groups were attacked on all sides, and were driving into the catacombs.
Many, many people died, an estimated 6,000,000. The Cheella Elite were perhaps the most honorable of all the groups. They fought to keep it a republic, not a military dictatorship as the other leaders wanted. That is not to say, however, that they were completely innocent, because that wouldn’t be true. Every single person did something in the Cheellan Revolution that they regretted for the rest of their lives.
Coming to a close five years after its start, the Cheella Elite came to power. During that time, the main focus of the Cheellan government was rebuilding the ruins, and hiding the powerful weapons they had used during the war to come to power. Known as the Weapons of the Storms, the Weapon of Light, the Weapon of Creations, and the Weapon of Guardians, all four joined together to form an even more powerful weapon, the Quad Weapon.
Since the Cheellan Revolution, the Cheella race has been a well organized, united people.
The Master War
Fought between the aquatic race, the Ordantas, and the Cheella, it lasted for the short time of three years. The Ordantas were trying to take the Cheellan planet Chem, which was mainly oceans. The reason for this, exactly, is still currently unknown, though it is called the Master War because this much is known—it all had something to do with the Master, who is supposedly a Ordantian god. Whether the origin is something real and living has yet to be determined as well.
The Telepathic War
The most interesting of all wars, it isn’t technically a war. But the Cheella, Gar, and Sera nations fought against each other (before the Spartan War) for twelve years. Each party was telepathically hacking each other’s networks trying to gain information on valuable research.
Unfortunately, they all ended up deleting what they wanted—plans for building an actual, habitable planet. Whether the plans would have worked or not is unknown, though apparently the Mawrygens, a forgotten race, used it to create their home world.
The Dragon War
No one is sure what happened here. The only records are old scrolls and a sacred book of the Mawrygens. The Mawrygens remain creatures of legend, recluses who have fled to the far corners of the galaxy. Supposedly, this battle was against another race known as the Venner, who are, without a shadow of a doubt, extinct. Apparently in this battle, all of the remaining Venner were killed.
TELEPATHIC ABILITIES
While the Shadow Elite is capable of taking out enemies without their telepathic abilities, of them you just can't do without them.It's important to know what your strengths and weakness are, and just what you are capable of.
While the Shadow Elite team members never use the technical terms, here the real names for the abilities they possess (and yes, some of them are very long):

As you can tell, a lot of them all apply to the same thing. (I told you that you didn't want the tech stuff, but Jackson insisted you do.) You may be a little confused on how we can possibly have and use all of these abilities. Some of the Team members are better at using certain of their abilities than others. The reason for this is that some of them have stronger brain waves, more brain energy, or just have stronger abilities. Is everyone capable of the same thing? Possibly, yes. But no one really knows for sure.
For example, Kitty and Eva are really good at telepathically hacking, which is technokinesis, electrokinesis, and datakinesis, while Blue Jay is really good at doing...well, pretty much nothing. (Just kidding.) He's really good at scintillakinesis and thermokinesis. And Connor uses scientiakinesis to teach us things. This is simply called telepathic learning.
Because the Shadow Elite's team members are all anomalies, which is why Brandon chose them, no one is completely sure what they are capable of since their abilities are no where near finishing developing. Some of their abilities are down right weird and unnerving. For example, Kitty's strange ability to make plants grow faster.
What are anomalies?
Anomalies are usually humans (but sometimes from other races), who have discovered the telepathic abilities that every human possess. Unlike your average human, however, they have discovered, either through excessive training or by accident, these abilities. Each anomaly is different in their most powerful ability and just how powerful they may be. While anomalies have great potential, their telepathic abilities may be unstable.
Are anomalies better than other naturally telepathic races?
It all depends. Humans naturally have telekinetic abilities, but rarely discover them. So, if you're that kind of anomaly, then no. But if you're the type of person who's an anomaly because they're more powerful than the average person...

The kinesis charts above are the general average of all the abilities under theses main headings. Because they are anomalies, their telepathic abilities are not at an equal level. (For example, everything for Kitty would be, say, a five.) Anomalies usually have more abilities than they think they have. Some develop slower than others, like Abigail's or Blue Jay's.
TRAINING
If you don't practice an instrument for a year or so, you can't come back to it and expect to be able to play a piece of music with no mistakes. So it is with one's telepathic--and non-telepathic--abilities. It's important to always be training, always be preparing, always ready for what might happen next. But when everyone has differing abilities and levels of skills, it's pretty hard to train. Or is it?
The Obstacle Course
You have to keep your body as agile and fit as you can. For this reason, the Shadow Elite built and train on the Obstacle Course. Vaults, fences, rivers, walls, hills, gorges, bars, and ropes all combine to form the ultimate obstacle course. Here are two ways you can run it--with your telepathic abilities, and without your telepathic abilities.
Virtual RElatiy/Simulation Chambers
You step into the virtual chamber and it stimulates the different types of environments and terrains, with its animal and other natural dangers, plus added dangers like soldiers, or alien species.
The Workout Room
Yes, this is what it sounds like.
Psionics Room
This room is used for practicing any abilities you may possess. A virtual simulator in one corner allows you to take your training to a higher level. The rest of the room is used for practicing your force fields and any other sort of ability. Swinging targets, for example, are included in this room.
